Zakharova commented on the US Justice Department's dismissal of the case against Trump

American democratic justice demonstrates absolute impartiality once every four years. Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said in her Telegram channel on Monday, November 25.

"The US Justice Department has dropped all federal cases against [US President-elect] Donald Trump. Because they've been sorted out, right? American democratic justice has an amazing cyclicality - once every four years it demonstrates absolute impartiality," she wrote.

So she commented on the news about the termination of the American ministry of justice of the prosecution in the case of interference in the elections of 2020 and illegal storage of secret documents. The case will be closed, as the policy of the U.S. Department of Justice prohibits criminal prosecution of a sitting president, CNN reported.

Earlier, on November 11, Politico reported that US Justice Department officials fear retaliation against Trump after criminal cases were brought against him. The agency fears that Trump will want to transform the Ministry in accordance with his representations.

On November 7, it became known that Prosecutor Smith is considering closing criminal cases against Trump. Smith is prosecuting two cases against the elected head of the White House. In the first, the former President is accused of interfering in the 2020 elections, in the second - in improper handling of classified documents.
