Ukraine's first lady Olena Zelenska said in an interview on 25 November that the West risks repeating Ukraine's fate.

"It is necessary to understand that Russia shows by the example of Ukraine what will happen to the West," the wife of Volodymyr Zelensky, whose term of office expired on May 20, said in an interview that was published on the YouTube channel of the Office of the President of Ukraine.

Earlier, on November 22, British newspaper The Telegraph reported that Zelensky had softened his rhetoric on ending the conflict in Ukraine after Republican Donald Trump's victory in the U.S. presidential election.

Earlier on November 20, Zelensky said Ukraine's impending defeat without U.S. help was imminent. He recognized that the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) is now in a very difficult period.

The special operation to protect Donbass, the start of which was announced by the Russian President on February 24, 2022, continues. The decision was taken against the background of the aggravated situation in the region.
