Media reported the second explosion in a month at the Tupras refinery in Turkey

An explosion was heard at the Tupras oil refinery in the town of Aliaga in Izmir province in western Turkey. This was reported by A haber TV channel on Monday, November 25.

After the explosion, a fire started at the facility, which has now been extinguished. The footage published on social networks shows a fire raging in part of the plant.

According to the company, the emergency occurred around 20:00 Moscow time at one of the plants, which was stopped. There are no casualties as a result of the incident. The cause of the incident in Tupras did not name.

Earlier, on November 5, an explosion followed by a fire occurred at the Tupras refinery in Izmit city of Kocaeli province. The incident occurred during maintenance work on a compressor. Twelve employees of the enterprise were slightly injured.
