Musk has declared the design of the US F-35 fighter jets a failure

American entrepreneur Ilon Musk said on November 25 that he believes the F-35 fighter jets failed because of inflated requirements for their design.
"The design of the F-35 failed at the requirements stage because a large number of people demanded too much of it," he wrote on social network X (formerly Twitter).
According to Musk, this made the fighter jet "master expensive and complicated" and yet "master of nothing." The entrepreneur emphasized that there was no chance of success.
Earlier, on November 23, the press service of the U.S. Department of Defense reported that the Pentagon signed contracts with large defense companies for military production and supply of weapons worth more than $1.3 billion. It was reported that the largest contract was awarded to Lockheed Martin for a total of $869.9 million for the production of F-35 Lot 20 fighter jets.
Prior to that, on October 29, the press service of the U.S. Department of Defense reported that a contract for the production of UH-60M Black Hawk helicopters for Australia, Brazil, Greece, Sweden and Thailand for the amount of at least $1.2 billion was signed. The ministry's statement also shows that the contract was concluded with the manufacturer of this model of helicopters Sikorsky Aircraft - a subsidiary of Lockheed Martin Corporation.
