The first case of influenza was registered in Lipetsk

Last week the first flu case of the season was registered in Lipetsk. The sick person flew in from Abu Dhabi.

According to GOROD48, the man is not a local resident. He came to visit relatives. The patient was diagnosed with influenza A (H3N2).

In total, last week more than 5.2 thousand residents of the Lipetsk region went to doctors with acute respiratory viral infections (ARVI). The morbidity rate increased by 11.5%. Coronavirus sickened 106 people.

About 369 thousand adults and 149 thousand children were vaccinated against influenza. This is 54.8% of the population of the region.

Last week in Kurgan region the school in Kataysky district was closed for quarantine. More than ten pupils fell ill with out-of-hospital pneumonia.
