Residents of the Pskov region gave more than 3 million rubles to fraudsters

Residents of the Pskov region have lost more than 3 million roubles because of fraudsters. The police are conducting a check.

Residents of Pskov and the Pskov district became victims of the con artists. Attackers contacted victims by phone and introduced themselves as employees of banks and other organizations. Citizens agreed to transfer funds under the pretext of preventing unauthorized withdrawals from their accounts. According to the Pskov newswire, in some cases the victims had taken out loans.

Each fact is being checked and criminal cases have been opened.

In St. Petersburg, con artists stole almost 20 million rubles from a pensioner. The attackers communicated with the woman on behalf of the polyclinic, Roskomnadzor and Rosfinmonitoring. The victim agreed to hand over the money to ensure financial security.
