"The People's Front and units of the commandant's office of the 51st Donetsk Army delivered humanitarian aid to residents of the liberated village of Gornyak in the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR) on November 25.

The delivery was made by four-wheel drive vehicles due to the washed-out dirt road to the settlement. The aid included approximately 100 packages, including food packages. Izvestia correspondent Dmitry Astrakhan also took part in the program.

Tatyana, a resident of neighboring Kurakhovka, said that Ukrainian militants mistreated the population and did not let people out of their basements.

"We sat in the basement. The attitude was terrible. <...> Everything in an orderly manner. I said - you did. That's it. No words. Marauderily. <...> Said I had nowhere to go - thrown out. I came, threw out my things, went to my neighbors. Then the shelling started, I lived in the neighbors' basement. At the moment the house is gone, there is nothing. Everything was burned down," she said.

According to Tatyana, after the liberation of the city she was able to see her parents for the first time in two months. After the story, together with the soldiers of the commandant's office, she went to evacuate a paralyzed elderly woman, who could not be taken out by her relatives, and took her to her place for care.

Earlier, on November 20, the Popular Front brought humanitarian aid to the Ukrainsk settlement in the DNR liberated from the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU). The volunteers handed over 100 kits with food and essential goods and helped evacuate a lying 86-year-old woman to her relatives in Donetsk.

Before that, on October 29, the Russian Defense Ministry reported about the liberation of Gornyak settlement, as well as Katerynivka and Dobrovolya. Then, on November 2, Kurakhovka in the DNR and Pershotravnevoje in Kharkiv Region were liberated.

The special operation to protect Donbass, the start of which Russian President Vladimir Putin announced on February 24, 2022, continues. The decision was made against the background of the aggravated situation in the region.
