Croatia calls ATACMS missile strikes a direct US attack on Russian Federation

TheUSA and European states have directly attacked Russia by authorizing the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) to carry out strikes on Russian territories using US ballistic missiles ATACMS and British long-range cruise missiles Storm Shadow. This was reported by the Croatian publication Advance on November 25.
"It is not clear to many people <...> that these long-range attacks on Russia using ATACMS and Storm Shadow missiles <...> represent a direct attack by America and its European allies on the Russian Federation," the piece says.
It is specified that this applies to those types of weapons that can be operated by American, French or British soldiers.
At the same time, in order to achieve the target missile must have radar equipment, which Ukraine does not possess, clarifies "Gazeta.ru".
Before that, on November 21, Russian President Vladimir Putin said that Ukraine had used Western long-range weapons against the Russian state, because of which the regional conflict had acquired elements of a global conflict. He also said that one of Russia's newest medium-range missile systems, the Oreshnik ballistic missile, had been tested under combat conditions.
American journalist, lawyer and writer Glenn Greenwald in a conversation with journalist Tucker Carlson on November 20 pointed out that US President Joe Biden 's decision to use the US ATACMS system by the Ukrainian army could lead to his impeachment because it involves the country in the Ukrainian conflict.
Earlier, on November 17, The New York Times reported that US President Joe Biden had authorized Ukraine to use US long-range missiles to strike Russia, but there was no official confirmation from Washington yet.
Later, on November 19, the Defense Ministry said that calculations of S-400 air defense missile systems and the Pantsir air defense missile and cannon system in the Bryansk region shot down five ATACMS missiles fired by the AFU and damaged another one. The wreckage of the latter fell on the territory of the military facility, without casualties or damage.
In addition, on November 21, the Russian Defense Ministry said that Russian air defenses shot down two Storm Shadow missiles launched by the Ukrainian side.
The special operation to protect Donbass, which began on February 24, 2022, continues. The decision was taken against the background of the worsening situation in the region.
