The driver of the bus, which was involved in an accident in the village of Novoselye in the Leningrad region, has been detained and a criminal case has been opened against him. This was reported on November 25 in the Main Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in St. Petersburg and the Leningrad region.

"The police investigation against the bus driver opened a criminal case under Art. 264 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Violation of the rules of road traffic and operation of vehicles"). The driver is detained under Art. 91 of the Criminal Procedural Code of the Russian Federation", - stated in the message of the Department in Telegram-channel.

It specified that the accident occurred at 7:24 Moscow time. The regional Ministry of Internal Affairs added that 11 people were injured in the accident, one of them is in serious condition.

Thecollision of a passenger bus with a parked truck in the village of Novoselie occurred earlier in the day, recalls "Gazeta.Ru". Among the injured five children. After the accident, a criminal case was opened under Article 238 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Provision of services that do not meet safety requirements").
