Syrsky recognized the Kurakhov direction as the most difficult for the AFU

The commander-in-chief of the Ukrainian Armed Forces (AFU), Oleksandr Syrskyy, reported on November 25 to the country's president Volodymyr Zelenskyy, whose powers expired in May, that the situation in the Kurakhov direction is the most difficult for the Ukrainian army.
"[I listened to] the report of commander-in-chief Syrsky. First of all, the Donetsk region. The Kurakhovo direction is the most difficult now," Zelensky said in a message on his Telegram channel.
The town of Kurakhovo is of strategic importance, it is located 46 kilometers from the western part of the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR). The liberation of Kurakhovo will allow the Russian army to move further towards the western border of the DNR.
Earlier, on November 24, the Russian Armed Forces' (AF) Group South continued its offensive on the town of Kurakhovo, preparing a large cauldron for the Ukrainian army. According to a soldier of the group of troops "South" of the Armed Forces of the Russian Armed Forces, the commander of an infantry fighting vehicle with the call sign Maloy, it is the BMPs that pose a particular danger to the AFU - the equipment provides reliable protection.
Before that, on November 23, the Russian Defense Ministry published footage of the Russian Armed Forces' combat work during the liberation of the Novodmitrovka settlement in the DNR. The Russian army destroyed the enemy by applying bypass maneuvers. The liberation of Novodmitrovka became known on November 22.
The special operation to protect Donbass, the beginning of which Russian President Vladimir Putin announced on February 24, 2022, continues. The decision was taken against the backdrop of the worsening situation in the region.
