Lynk & Co. cars were allowed to be certified in Russia
The cars of the Chinese-Swedish brand Lynk & Co may receive vehicle type approval (VTA), which will allow to start their mass sales in Russia. Andrei Olkhovsky, CEO of Avtodom Group of Companies, told Izvestia on November 25.
"Now we are coordinating the further development plan of our cooperation and the possibilities of obtaining OTTS for cars. After full certification of Lynk & Co in Russia, the manufacturer will choose the official distributor of the brand, and if it will be Avtodom, we will work together with partners to build a dealer network in our country," Olkhovsky shared his plans.
Now, according to the top manager, it is not quite correct to call Avtodom the official distributor of Lynk & Co in Russia. At the initial stage, the dealer acts as an official partner of DreamSmart, which in late November announced the entry of Lynk & Co. cars into the Russian market.
As DreamSmart's executive director for CIS market development Binbin Gu said, now the supply of Lynk & Co cars in Russia "is a complex process involving several suppliers".
The first models available for purchase in Russia will be the Lynk & Co 08 hybrid crossover and the Z10 electric sedan. The cars with a five-year warranty and Russified interface will appear in Avtodom dealerships in early December 2024. "Avtodom" will carry out after-sales and service maintenance of cars.
