Russian Creative Awards 2024 shortlist announced

The short list of nominees for the Russian national award Russian Creative Awards 2024, which annually recognizes the best creative projects in all sectors of the country's economy, has been announced. The award winners will be announced on November 29 in the Zaryadye Concert Hall at a gala ceremony.
Russian Creative Awards is a unique award recognizing professional community, which will be awarded this year for the fourth time. The key change in the architecture of the 2024 award is the focus on the value content of projects in the creative industries, said Alexander Zhuravsky, Deputy Head of the Russian Presidential Department for Public Projects:
"This year, more than a thousand applications have been submitted for the prize. The authors of the projects represent more than 60 regions of Russia, and five of the applied projects united representatives of several subjects of the Russian Federation. The architecture of the awards has slightly changed and acquired a value-oriented orientation. This is in line with the national development goals formulated in the 309th presidential decree and implemented by the Government of the Russian Federation. I would like to remind you that among the objectives of this decree is "to increase the share of creative (creative) industries in the economy". This task will be decomposed by the government for each of the country's regions by specific indicators, because, according to the government's concept of creative industries development, by 2030 the share of creative industries in the Russian economy should be almost doubled, up to 6%".
In light of the law "On the development of creative (creative) industries in the Russian Federation" coming into force in February 2025, the shortlist of the award nominees represents an up-to-date palette of the development of the innovative sector of the country's economy, according to Denis Kravchenko, First Deputy Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Economic Policy:
"Just a few years ago we did not talk about creative products as part of the national economy. There was no such concept in the legislation. And we set ourselves the task of filling this gap. A lot of systematic work was carried out for this purpose. And this year it was crowned with logical success - the law "On the Development of Creative (Creative) Industries in the Russian Federation" was drafted and adopted by the State Duma. It will come into force in February 2025. Thus, creative industries have officially occupied a niche in the Russian economy and received a legislative foundation for development: a conceptual apparatus has been introduced and powers have been distributed, including legislative tools for the development of creative industries received by the regions".
The shortlist of finalists included 32 projects in 11 nominations, which received the highest marks from the members of the grand jury. The winner in the special nomination "Tavrida.ART" for young professionals in the creative industries will be determined by the organizing committee.
The Grand Jury of the award includes recognized masters of creative industries in Russia.
