Rutube said that the share of socially important content is growing

The number of videos on socially important topics posted on Rutube in November exceeded half a million. This is stated in the press release of the site, presented on Monday, November 25.

We are talking about the growth in the number of author blogs in the format of short dissections of current political events, interviews with experts, as well as socio-political programs.

"Socially significant content touches upon the most important public issues, influences the opinion and moods of citizens, causes discussions and forms a large-scale public dialog. That is why in the era of information confrontation and wars it is very important for our viewers to have the opportunity to hear objective analytics from leading experts on what is happening in the country and the world", - noted in Rutube.

To date, the site has a total of over 600 political bloggers and opinion leaders. The leaders in popularity are Yuri Podolyaka, Dmitry Puchkov, Dmitry Vasilets, Empathy Manuchi, Dmitry Nikotin, Alexander Semchenko and Sanya in Florida.

The bloggers themselves, commenting on the growing share of social and political content on Rutube, note that the role of these topics in shaping public discourse in Russia is steadily growing.

"Rutube as a domestic alternative to the world giants is a video hosting where on political issues a point of view free from Western censorship is presented," emphasized Dmitry Nikotin.

For his part, blogger Sergei Brekotin added that the platform actively monitors the quality of published content and promptly removes channels that post fake information.

In mid-November it became known that last month the number of Rutube users reached 67.1 million, and the maximum daily audience in November - 14.3 million (according to Mediascope). Library video service to date is more than 294 million.
