Tagansky district court of Moscow has fined messenger Telegram 7 million rubles for refusal to remove information contrary to Russian law. This was reported in the press service of the capital's courts of general jurisdiction on November 25.

"The ruling against Telegram.inc was issued in accordance with the administrative offense under part 4 of article 13.41 of the Administrative Code of the Russian Federation ("Failure to comply with the requirements of the supervisory authority in the sphere of information and mass communications to restrict access to information resources that do not comply with the norms of Russian legislation")," reads the publication in the Telegram channel of the courts.

Earlier, on October 15, the Tagansky District Court of Moscow fined Telegram 4 million rubles for refusing to remove information contrary to Russian law.

Back in March, more than 256 thousand units of illegal material were blocked in the social network, while the site was repeatedly brought to administrative responsibility.
