Rosgvardeys discovered a cache of NATO weapons in Zaporizhzhya region


During reconnaissance and search operations, Rosgvardiya officers together with representatives of military counterintelligence found a cache of ammunition and weapons of the NATO model in Zaporizhzhya region. This was reported on November 25 by the press service of the agency.
During a thorough inspection of the area with the use of aerial visual observation systems in the forest belt near the front line it was possible to find a camouflaged cache. The cache contained about 40 artillery shells of 152 mm caliber, more than 300 cartridges of different caliber, as well as grenades with detonators and two anti-tank grenade launchers produced by NATO countries.
"The found arsenal was destroyed by specialists of the engineering and technical division of the Rosgvardia", - indicated in the department.
Before that, on November 22, the press service of the Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in the Lugansk People's Republic (LNR) reported the discovery of a cache of ammunition in the town of Sukhodolsk. The cache contained grenades, mines and more than 4,000 rounds of ammunition. The seized weapons and ammunition were handed over to the Russian Ministry of Defense.
Earlier, on November 14, the Main Directorate of the Russian Interior Ministry reported about the discovery of a cache of artillery shells in Zaporizhzhya region by law enforcers with the support of Rosgvardia. The items, including more than 1,000 shells, 14 grenades, more than 3,000 rounds of ammunition and other ammunition, were handed over to sappers for destruction.
