CNN claimed Netanyahu's approval of the ceasefire plan with Hezbollah

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has tentatively approved a possible agreement that seeks a ceasefire between the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) and the Lebanese Shiite movement Hezbollah. This was reported by CNN on November 25, citing a source.
The source reports that Netanyahu agreed to a possible truce during security consultations with Israeli officials on Sunday night. The details of the agreement to be handed over to the Lebanese government are still being discussed and "all issues" need to be resolved before it can be approved, the publication said.
Amos Hochstein, an adviser to U.S. President Joe Biden, said he would refuse to mediate between the countries if Tel Aviv did not support a proposal aimed at achieving a 60-day cessation of hostilities that could form the basis for a long-term ceasefire.
Earlier, on November 24, it was reported that 84 people were killed and more than 200 injured in Lebanon as a result of IDF strikes. It is also noted that the Israeli army launched two airstrikes on the southern suburbs of Beirut on Sunday, about an hour after the evacuation warning was issued.
Meanwhile, on the same day, the IDF said 30 rockets were fired from Lebanon into Israel. It specified that some of the projectiles were intercepted and studied. No casualties were reported.
In early November, Lebanon's acting Prime Minister Najib Mikati called the renewed attacks a rejection of Israel's peace initiative. He emphasized that Israel's repeated threats "confirm the disregard for all efforts made to secure a ceasefire."
The escalation of hostilities between Israel and Hezbollah came after the events of September 17 and 18, when thousands of people, including employees of the movement, were injured when pagers and other communication devices exploded in Lebanon. The country blamed Tel Aviv for what happened. Since then, Israel has continued to eliminate the leadership of the Shiite movement and strike Lebanese territory.
The situation in the Middle East escalated on the morning of October 7, 2023, when the Palestinian radical movement Hamas subjected the territory of Israel to a massive rocket attack from the Gaza Strip. On the same day, Israel began retaliatory strikes.
