Air defense means have destroyed four guided bombs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in the border area of Kursk Region. This was reported by the governor of the region Alexei Smirnov on November 25.
"Four guided aerial bombs of the AFU were shot down in the border areas of Kursk region. I thank our air defense fighters!" - wrote Smirnov in his Telegram channel.
Earlier in the day, the Russian Defense Ministry said that air defense means destroyed eight ballistic missiles fired by Ukrainian militants.
On the same day, the ministry said that air defense forces destroyed 23 AFU drones over Russian regions. Eight drones were shot down over the territory of Kaluga region, seven drones were destroyed in Kursk region, five - in Bryansk region, three - in Belgorod region.
At the same time, Smirnov said that in addition to the seven drones in the Kursk region, seven Ukrainian missiles were shot down.
The AFU is trying to strike Russian territories against the background of the special operation in Donbass, the beginning of which was announced on February 24, 2022. The decision was taken due to the aggravation of the situation in the region due to shelling by the Ukrainian military.
