An ice town started to be built in Chelyabinsk

Work on the construction of the main ice town began on Revolution Square in Chelyabinsk on Monday, November 25. This was announced by the mayor of the city Alexei Loshkin, reports the correspondent of IA "Ura.ru" from the scene.

"While wooden structures are being erected, we expect ice formation by mid-December. The construction is directly related to the weather, and according to forecasters' forecasts, by that time temperatures should become winter-like," the mayor said.

The ice town project was announced in early November. Compared to last year, it included more activities, slides, expanded the food court zone and planned one and a half times more events.

Earlier in November it was reported that in Chelyabinsk identified the contractor for the overhaul of the bridge over the Miass River on Cherkasskaya Street. The cost of the work - about 1.5 billion rubles.
