To make a business trip as comfortable as possible, it is important to take into account several key points when choosing a hotel for a business trip. Savva Gustyr, Head of Sales Department of Palmira Business Club Hotel, told Izvestia on November 26.

The expert recommended first of all to pay attention to the location of the hotel. It is worth calculating the distance to the airport or train station, the city center and the venue. According to him, logistics is an important aspect of a business trip: a hotel at the entrance to the city with convenient access to the highway may be more practical for a busy schedule, and in the city center - for a less busy schedule with the opportunity to see the sights. The optimal option is a compromise between convenience of transportation and proximity to work locations, Gustyr says.

"A hotel during a trip becomes not only a place to stay, but also a temporary office. If business meetings are planned, it is better to book a room with a living area in advance. It is not always convenient to discuss commercial proposals in a noisy lobby, and a secluded environment contributes to more productive negotiations," he noted.

In his opinion, special attention should be paid to opportunities for business events. Availability of a conference room with modern equipment - projector, sound system, conference table - may be very necessary, the specialist added. In addition, a reliable high-speed Internet connection is important, which allows you to hold video conferences and work effectively remotely.

Quality food is another important factor. The expert advised to clarify whether the hotel provides catering services, if business lunches are planned, and 24-hour room service to organize a late dinner after a busy working day.

"The hotel chosen for business travel often becomes the face of the company. If you plan to invite partners or clients to meetings, you should prefer a four- or five-star hotel. This will emphasize the status and professionalism of your company, as well as provide a high level of comfort for all participants of negotiations," - concluded Gustyr.

Earlier, on November 22, it was reported that despite the fact that the resorts of the North-Western Federal District in 2024 received 1 million more tourists than in the Southern Federal District, the latter managed to outstrip St. Petersburg and neighboring regions in terms of hotel stock utilization. The Krasnodar region, led by Sochi, the Republic of Crimea and the Rostov region accommodated 35% more tourists in hotels than the NWFD. This follows from the data of Mantera Group experts.
