Passengers of the reserve flight of "Azimut" told about the normal return to Sochi

The reserve aircraft of Azimut airline, which delivered passengers to Sochi after the fire of the Sukhoi Superjet in Antalya, Turkey, arrived without incident. About this on Monday, November 25, told "Izvestia" flying the flight married couple.

"We had a normal flight. The only thing is that we were delayed there for a long time. <...> The airline provided us with accommodation, a quite comfortable hotel. It was uncomfortable for those who, let's say, had plans for today," the man shared.

According to him, the departure was originally scheduled for about 22:40 (coincides with Moscow time), and after the accident it took place after 10:00. The delay amounted to approximately 12 hours.

As specified by the eyewitness, he and his wife managed to see how the special services transport arrived at the scene. The man expressed the opinion that specialists were unlikely to be able to eliminate the fire faster.

Passenger Yevgenia added that the electricity went out after the sharp impact of the landing.

The Russian Consulate General in Antalya said that some Russians safely left the airport. The rest decided to wait for baggage claim and were provided with food. The airline provided a reserve board for passengers who were to fly to Russia on the plane that caught fire. They were accommodated in a hotel during the waiting period. A criminal case was opened after the incident with the plane.
