The official representative of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia Irina Volk reported in her Telegram-channel that the driver who hit the pedestrians was detained. The man is taken to the police station for proceedings.
In the footage from the scene, shot by the city's CCTV camera, a black car at high speed flies onto the sidewalk and hits people who gathered at the crosswalk and waited for a green traffic signal. The driver did not stop after that and left the scene.
Earlier, on October 27, a foreign car hit two people on the sidewalk at the intersection of Lenin Avenue and Partizanskaya Street in Barnaul. The young people were injured.
