UAC handed over new Su-34 fighter-bombers to the Russian Defense Ministry

The United Aircraft Corporation (UAC) has handed over another batch of Su-34 fighter-bombers to the Russian Defense Ministry. This is reported on the corporation's website on November 25.

"Timely fulfillment of obligations under the state defense order is one of the key tasks of UAC. And our labor collectives honorably perform this important work. This is not the last batch of Su-34 fighter-bombers this year," said Vadim Badeha, the corporation's general director.

He added that these airplanes are the basis of the strike power of aviation on the line of contact, and they show their effectiveness in combat conditions.

The new planes have already undergone the necessary training and have gone to the places where they will be used. First Deputy Director General of Rostec State Corporation Vladimir Artyakov noted that the aviation plants of the state corporation are constantly improving production processes in order to manufacture equipment at an accelerated pace. Artyakov noted that Su-34s are highly appreciated by the troops, these fighters are suitable for any theater of war and allow the use of both guided and unguided aerial munitions.

Su-34 aircraft are designed to engage ground, surface and air targets, to destroy infrastructure that is protected by air defense (ADF) or is located at a considerable distance from the basing airfield. Such fighter-bombers are capable of performing combat missions despite enemy fire and electronic resistance and difficult weather conditions. In addition, the Su-34 can be used for aerial reconnaissance.

Earlier, on November 11, Rostec State Corporation handed over another batch of new Su-57 and Su-35S aircraft to the Russian Air and Space Forces. Sergey Chemezov, CEO of the state corporation, said that the Su-57 is the only fifth-generation fighter to date, which has confirmed its breakthrough characteristics in all variants of use in combat. This aircraft is equipped with a modern onboard defense system and is undetectable to the enemy.
