Weather forecasters warned residents of Priangarie about heavy snowfall

In some areas of the Irkutsk region on Tuesday, November 26, there will be heavy snow. The Ministry of Emergency Situations has warned residents of southern districts about unfavorable weather conditions.

IrkutsMedia news agency with reference to the press service of the Main Department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations in the region writes that in the western and northeastern districts a light snow is forecast in some places. Strong wind with gusts up to 14 m/s is possible.

The temperature in the night hours in Ust-Kut, Kirensky, Katanga and northeastern regions will fall to -33 degrees, in some places to -40 degrees. In the afternoon in Katangsky and northeastern districts promise up to -24 degrees.

In Irkutsk, heavy precipitation is also possible during the night hours. The temperature will fall to -11 degrees, and in the afternoon rise to -4 degrees.

On November 25, the scientific head of the Russian Hydrometeorological Center Roman Vilfand said that in more than 15 regions of Russia this week expected hazardous weather phenomena, such as gale force winds, heavy precipitation and ice. The most difficult weather at the beginning of the week will be in Murmansk region and Primorsky Krai, where heavy snow, sleet, snowstorms, wind up to 22 m/s are forecast.
