AvtoVAZ starts shipments of Lada Aura business sedans

AvtoVAZ has started shipments of Lada Aura business sedans. The cars will be shipped to government and corporate customers, as well as to dealerships, according to the company's statement, which was received by Izvestia on November 25.

The first Lada Aura is released in the maximum Status configuration, which includes black leather interior upholstery. To protect the paintwork, the bodies of all shipped Aura are covered with protective film.

The length of Lada Aura is 4690 mm, which is 250 mm more than the sedan Lada Vesta, on the basis of which the novelty is built. The price of the car is 2.6 million or 2.8 million rubles depending on the configuration. In total, AvtoVAZ plans to produce about 5 thousand copies of Aura annually. The cars are equipped with an atmospheric engine 1.8 Evo with an output of 122 hp (170 Nm) in conjunction with a variator, taken from the eastern partners.

The list of other innovations includes special suspension settings (original shock absorbers are used), improved noise insulation, heated cushion and backrest of the rear seat. Special emphasis is made on the comfort of second row passengers.

November 20, the head of AvtoVAZ Maxim Sokolov said that the sedan Lada Aura is scheduled to go on sale in December 2024, the first shipments to dealers may begin in November-December.

November 15, it was reported that the start of production of a new family of cars Lada Iskra scheduled for spring 2025. Iskra in the model range of the brand will occupy a niche between the affordable Granta and more expensive Vesta. The model will be available in sedan, station wagon and Cross body styles.
