There were explosions in Odessa in Ukraine amid an air alert. This was reported by the mayor of the city Gennady Trukhanov on Monday, November 25.

"An explosion is heard in the city!" - he wrote in his Telegram-channel.

Fifteen minutes later, Trukhanov reported a second explosion.

According to the online map of the Ukrainian Ministry of Digital Transformation, an air alert has been declared in Odessa, Sumy, Kirovograd, Kharkiv regions, as well as in Kiev-controlled areas of the Kherson region.

The Russian Defense Ministry did not comment on this information.

The day before it was reported that there were explosions in Kiev. An air alert was declared in Sumy, Cherkasy, Chernigov, Kirovograd, Dnipropetrovsk, Zhitomir and Kiev regions.

Russian forces in October 2022 began striking military facilities and related energy and communications facilities in Ukraine. As explained by Russian President Vladimir Putin, this was in response to the terrorist actions of the Kiev regime.

The special operation to protect Donbass, the start of which Putin announced on February 24, 2022, is ongoing. The decision was taken against the background of the worsening situation in the region.
