Mobilized members of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) are poorly trained, while the command constantly intimidates and deceives their subordinates. This was told by captured serviceman Oleksandr Pryymachuk on November 25.

"I was drafted as a driver, but they never gave me a car. I was given a machine gun and went on guard duty," he said, adding that he served in the DSST, that is, in the State Special Transportation Service, but was engaged in the protection of bridges and strategic facilities.

The captive reported poor training of the mobilized.

"Once they took them to the range, gave them 12 rounds of ammunition each," he said.

Priymachuk drew attention to the fact that due to acute personnel hunger in the tank units of the AFU about 400 servicemen of the DSST were transferred to the 17th separate tank brigade.

The brigade command not only kept the personnel in the dark, but also deceived their subordinates, he noted. In addition, the Ukrainian military officer pointed out that the leadership constantly intimidated the demoralized servicemen, trying to keep them in fear.

"The company man said: who will go to the NWF (unauthorized abandonment of the unit. - Ed.), it is automatically attributed that you left with weapons. You won't even get home - you will be sent to meat," Priymachuk said.

He also noted the humane attitude of Russian servicemen to prisoners and urged his fellow servicemen to surrender.

Earlier, on November 23, Vladimir Barshay, a prisoner of the AFU, told about the sending of military men unfit for service to the front line, despite their well-being. According to him, the recruits were undergoing military training in Zhytomyr, in Zvyagyl. The fighters had problems with showers, there was no opportunity to wash themselves and their clothes.

In April, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky (his term expired on May 20) signed a law on toughening mobilization. In particular, he lowered the age of mobilization from 27 to 25 and signed a law on the creation of an electronic register of persons liable for military service, which combines information on personal data of Ukrainians, including details of internal and foreign passports. There are no provisions on demobilization in the documents.

Martial law in the country has been in effect since February 2022. At the same time Zelensky signed a decree on general mobilization. Later, the Verkhovna Rada repeatedly extended its effect. Most men between the ages of 18 and 60 are prohibited from leaving the country.
