More than 20,000 people took part in the seventh Heritage youth forum dedicated to preserving historical monuments and incorporating them into the life of cities. The Moscow part of the competition was attended by 300 students from 28 universities of the city - future restorers, architects, historians and others, said in his official Telegram channel the mayor of the capital Sergey Sobyanin.
They were offered to develop projects of restoration of the Palace of Culture of the factory "Serp and Molot" - a landmark monument of constructivism in Tagansky district. The idea of creating a multifunctional complex with sports, club and concert buildings was recognized as the best.
"Since 2018, Moscow has been inviting young specialists from Russia and friendly countries to exchange ideas and best practices in the field of preserving historical monuments and incorporating them into the life of cities," the mayor said.
Twelve regions took part in the regional track of the student competition. The team from Saratov won with the project of revival and inclusion of the early XX century mansion into modern life. All the contest works have practical value and can be realized.
