Ukraine says 150,000 people return to new Russian regions

About 150,000 residents of Mariupol and other territories have returned from Ukraine to the new Russian regions. This was stated by Verkhovna Rada deputy Maxim Tkachenko in an interview with the Ukrinform agency on November 24.
"Already about 150 thousand internally displaced persons have returned to the new regions of the Russian Federation," he said.
It is specified that about 70 thousand of them returned to Mariupol.
Tkachenko called such indicators terrible for Kiev, noting that employers do not want to give temporarily displaced persons high-ranking positions, and they are not provided with "proper assistance."
On November 14, it was reported that a third of the refugees who had previously left for Ukraine had returned to Mariupol. It was noted that the reason for the return to the city is unresolved housing issues in Ukraine.
The special operation to protect Donbass, the beginning of which Russian President Vladimir Putin announced on February 24, 2022, continues. The decision was taken against the background of the aggravation of the situation in the region due to shelling by the Ukrainian military.
