The Moscow Estates festival will start in the capital next weekend

From December 1 to February 28, the capital will host the winter festival "Moscow estates", which will unite almost two dozen historical places, including Petrovsky Way Palace, Bauman Garden, Vorontsovo, Lublino and Sviblovo estates. This was told by Deputy Mayor Natalia Sergunina.
"On the sites will create the atmosphere of a winter holiday of the XIX century. Actors in the images of noblemen will offer guests to try on the outfits of that era, teach to dance a waltz and make New Year's toys according to ancient samples. In total, the program will include more than 470 concerts, performances, balls and other events", - said Sergunina.
One of the key locations of the festival is the garden named after N.E. Bauman. It was part of the ensemble of the estate of Prince Mikhail Golitsyn in the XVIII century. Interactive art objects united by the motifs of the fairy tale "The Nutcracker and the Mouse King" will be placed here. They will become sets for immersive and classical productions. A two-tier puppet house with a stage on the first floor and a music box with dancing toys on the second floor will be installed in the center.
A masquerade ball will also be held in the Bauman Garden. Visitors will be offered suitable outfits in the costume shop. In addition, they will be told about the rules of etiquette at such events and taught the basic movements of the waltz.
In the museum-reserve "Tsaritsyno" and seven other sites every weekend will organize lectures, concerts and master classes dedicated to family traditions of Moscow noble dynasties. These events will be held as part of the cycle "Winter evenings in the estates".
The Petrovsky Way Palace will host an interactive ball-performance for the first time. Guests will be greeted by characters from the Nutcracker fairy tale in the front halls among white fir trees and retro-styled puppets.
Pre-registration is required to attend some events; it is available on the Russpass website.
