Ynet has learned of Israel's willingness to endorse a ceasefire agreement in Lebanon

Israel has tentatively approved the proposed ceasefire agreement with the Shiite Hezbollah movement in Lebanon, which is now subject to final approval by the cabinet. Ynet reported on Nov. 25, citing sources.
"Israel has given the green light to sign a settlement agreement in Lebanon, subject to a final cabinet decision," the publication said.
However, the portal noted that the Israeli source noted that despite the "willingness and principled intention to move forward," the Israeli government sees "things on the table."
Despite this, Amos Hochstein, an adviser to US President Joe Biden, informed Lebanon of the Israeli side's agreement to the ceasefire, the portal specified.
Earlier, on November 24, it was reported that in Lebanon as a result of IDF strikes, 84 people were killed and more than 200 were injured. In addition, it is noted that, the Israeli army carried out two air strikes on the southern suburbs of Beirut on Sunday, about an hour after the announcement of the evacuation warning.
Meanwhile, on the same day, the IDF said 30 rockets were fired from Lebanon into Israel. It specified that some of the projectiles were intercepted and studied. No casualties were reported.
In early November, Lebanon's acting Prime Minister Najib Mikati called the renewed attacks a rejection of Israel's peace initiative. He emphasized that Israel's repeated threats "confirm the disregard for all efforts made to secure a ceasefire." A series of attacks on the southern suburbs of Beirut were carried out by the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) earlier in the day. It was specified that these were the first strikes in a week.
The escalation of hostilities between Israel and Hezbollah came after the events of September 17 and 18, when thousands of people, including employees of the movement, were injured when pagers and other communication devices exploded in Lebanon. The country blamed Tel Aviv for what happened. Since then, Israel has continued to eliminate the leadership of the Shiite movement and strike Lebanese territory.
The situation in the Middle East escalated on the morning of October 7, 2023, when the Palestinian radical movement Hamas subjected the territory of Israel to a massive rocket attack from the Gaza Strip. On the same day, Israel began retaliatory strikes.
