In Krasnoyarsk Krai the number of hospitalized children with poisoning rose to 37

The number of children, who were hospitalized with poisoning at school in Krasnoyarsk Krai, has increased to 37. This was reported on November 25 by Olesya Klimova, senior assistant to the Prosecutor of the krai for interaction with the media.

"In Kansk, 37 children are hospitalized, 15 outpatient. Five adults have also been hospitalized," she told TASS.

Earlier it was reported about 34 hospitalized schoolchildren and three employees of the school of the city of Kansk. They went to the hospital with symptoms of intestinal infection.

The poisoning of schoolchildren in a school in Krasnoyarsk became known on November 20. It was reported that all children had eaten in the school canteen the day before. Preliminarily, the victims were diagnosed with acute intestinal infection. On this fact a criminal case on rendering services that do not meet the requirements of safety of life and health of consumers was initiated.

Later the Prosecutor's Office of Krasnoyarsk Krai reported that the cause of poisoning of students was salmonellosis. The organizer of catering for the school, where the children were poisoned, is an individual entrepreneur registered as a "retail trade enterprise engaged in the sale of livestock products". At the same time, at the address of registration there is a warehouse of hangar type. In addition, the food units of the schools are not registered, and veterinary accompanying documents for the products are not issued.

The father of a child poisoned in a school in Kansk told Izvestia that all schoolchildren hospitalized with poisoning have different symptoms and different health conditions. According to the man, some of the children are already in good condition, but others are still feeling ill.
