Air defense forces have destroyed seven Ukrainian missiles and seven drones over the territory of Kursk Region. This was reported by the governor of the region Alexei Smirnov on November 25.

"The strike of the AFU was repelled this night by our air defense fighters: seven Ukrainian missiles and seven aircraft-type UAVs were shot down. I thank our defenders!" - he wrote in his Telegram channel.

Earlier in the day, the Governor of the Kaluga region Vladislav Shapsha reported the destruction of eight UAVs over the region. He also specified that there were no casualties as a result of the attacks.

The AFU is trying to strike Russian territories against the background of the special operation in Donbass, the beginning of which was announced on February 24, 2022. The decision was taken due to the aggravation of the situation in the region due to shelling by the Ukrainian military.
