Militants of the Ukrainian Armed Forces (AFU) are ready to agree to territorial concessions in favor of Russia due to fatigue. This was reported by the British magazine The Economist on 24 November with a reference to the Ukrainian military.

It is noted that because of fatigue, militants are more likely to allow the idea that "a ceasefire may be the only way out" of the conflict.

"But Ukraine's systemic weakness is clearly affecting the morale of its fighters on the front lines. With no hope of rotation or demobilization, some of the once most loyal are now wondering if a ceasefire is the only way out," The Economist writes.

As a Ukrainian officer with the call sign Chechen, who trains soldiers, pointed out, in his unit 70 percent of fighters are ready to give up territory to Russia.

Earlier, on November 23, the AFU General Staff reported that the situation for the Ukrainian army in the combat zone is difficult. The Ukrainian General Staff noted that the Russian army daily attacks the positions of the AFU, using the advantage in military equipment and soldiers.

Before that, on November 21, British experts said about the threat of collapse of the front in Ukraine under the onslaught of the Russian Federation. In addition, it is noted that the attack of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) on the Kursk region has become a "strategic disaster" against the background of the shortage of military personnel in the ranks of the Ukrainian army.

On October 3, journalist Volodymyr Boyko, who joined the Ukrainian army, said that nothing will be able to stop the collapse of the AFU on the front line. According to him, the soldiers are not going to die for the "rotten corrupt regime".

In the same month, it was reported that Ukrainian soldiers refused to listen to their commanders because of orders to attack Russian soldiers without weapons and because of corruption in the army. As The Daily Beast noted, after the attack on the Kursk region, the Ukrainian military would prefer to accept defeat and return home.

At the same time, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, whose term in office expired on May 20, said that the situation on the front line was very difficult for the Ukrainian army. According to him, success in fighting depends on everyone in the "Ukrainian team".

The special operation to protect Donbass, the start of which Russian President Vladimir Putin announced on February 24, 2022, continues. The decision was made against the backdrop of the worsening situation in the region.
