U.S. senator suggested firing all those involved in Trump's prosecution

U.S. Republican Senator Eric Schmitt proposed to suspend all employees of the U.S. Ministry of Justice, who were involved in the criminal prosecution of U.S. President-elect Donald Trump. This was reported by NBC News on November 24.
"First of all, the people involved should be fired immediately," Schmitt said.
He also noted that everyone who participated in attempts to "throw Trump in jail" was wrong. Schmitt made this statement as prosecutor Jack Smith, who prosecuted cases related to the president-elect, wants to close all charges and resign after Trump takes office.
Earlier on Nov. 11, Politico reported that U.S. Justice Department officials fear retaliation against Trump after the criminal cases against him. The agency fears that Trump will want to transform the Ministry in accordance with his representations.
On November 7, it became known that Prosecutor Smith is considering closing criminal cases against Trump. Smith is prosecuting two cases against the elected head of the White House. In the first, the former President is accused of interfering in the 2020 elections, in the second - in improper handling of classified documents.
The election of the 47th president of the United States took place on November 5. In the national vote, Trump received 51% of the vote, while the candidate from the Democrats Kamala Harris received 47.4%. Later, the politician, speaking to supporters, called himself the 47th President of the United States and said that his goal as head of state considers the end of military conflicts in the world. The Republican promised that his rule would be a "truly golden era" in the history of the United States.
