The Prosecutor's Office opened a criminal case on embezzlement of funds of the national project "Demography"

A criminal case has been initiated over the embezzlement of funds of the national project "Demography" in Khabarovsk in the amount of almost 1 million rubles. This was reported on November 25 in the press service of the prosecutor's office of the region.

"In Khabarovsk on the materials of the Prosecutor's inspection initiated a criminal case on the embezzlement of budget funds for almost 1 million rubles", - stated in the message of the Department in Telegram-channel.

The accused girl in September 2021 provided the state institution with documents with knowingly false information that she had two children. The girl received payments for three years, their amount amount amounted to Br930 thousand.

The results of the checks revealed a violation under Part 3 of Article 159.2 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Fraud in receiving payments").

Earlier, on November 16, the Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of Russia in the Republic of Dagestan reported that former employees of Rosselkhoznadzor and a local resident are suspected of fraud on a large scale. According to the investigation, in 2020, the defendants fictitiously employed a local resident in a government position in order to illegally receive his salary and work experience.
