Russia will be able to export up to 60 million tons of grain in the current agricultural season. This was stated by Russian Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Patrushev in an interview with Expert on November 25.

"The gross grain harvest will amount to 130 million tons, including 83 million tons of wheat. This will make it possible to supply about 55-60 million tons of grain to foreign markets in the current agricultural season," he said.

According to Deputy Prime Minister, this year agrarians faced unprecedentedly difficult weather conditions. A number of regions suffered from frosts in spring, drought in summer, and heavy precipitation made harvesting difficult. Despite this, the high technology of producers ensured a decent harvest by the end of the year.

Earlier, on November 14, Patrushev said about the collection in Russia of 130 million tons of grain in weight before processing. In addition, the Deputy Prime Minister recalled that the previous year, 2023, was an absolute record for the potato harvest, when more than 8.3 million tons were harvested.

On November 6, Deputy Prime Minister during a lecture at the federal educational marathon "Knowledge. First" noted that in 2024 Russian agricultural producers will have a harvest of 130 million tons of grain. He pointed out that this amount guarantees Russia's food security.
