Russia may create a national standard for tourism for families with children

Rosstandart has been recommended to develop and approve the national standard "Tourism of Families with Children". This is stated in the recommendation of the State Duma Committee on Tourism Development and Tourism Infrastructure following the parliamentary hearings.

According to the document, which was studied by Izvestia, the Cabinet of Ministers, the Ministry of Economic Development, the Ministry of Transport, as well as regional authorities are involved in the elaboration. The national standard should spell out the basic requirements for the organization of such recreation - in particular, infrastructure, equipping facilities with special equipment and inventory, safety of services.

"Social tourism will give the opportunity for recreation primarily to families with children, who today often do not have extra money for travel. In the conditions of Russia's course to support demography, stimulate the birth rate, it is a very important legislative decision that this type of tourism we have appeared", - said "Izvestia" Deputy Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Security from "United Russia" Anatoly Vyborny.

According to him, it is good if both the state and the tourist business will join forces to develop such a vacation.
