The Russian Federation may introduce a tariff on airplane and train tickets for large families

The Ministry of Transport is considering the introduction of a tariff for large families for the purchase of air and railroad tickets. This was reported to "Izvestia" in the press service of the Ministry.

"The issue is currently being worked out. The key here is to find sources of funding for the realization of such an initiative. The Ministry fully supports the development of domestic tourism and implements a number of measures for this purpose, including subsidizing the air transportation of passengers on the most popular routes," - reported in the press service of the Ministry.

As "Izvestia" found out, earlier the recommendations of the State Duma committee on tourism and tourist infrastructure development were sent to the Ministry of Transport. The document reports that the deputies propose to develop a special law on social tourism in Russia.

In this regard, they recommended the Ministry to work out the issue of the appearance in the Russian Federation of a special tariff "Large family". It should allow Russians to buy air and rail tickets for groups of up to 15 people at a time.
