During the landing of the plane of the Russian airline at the airport of Antalya there was a sharp shock and power outage in the cabin. This was told to "Izvestia" by a passenger of the plane that caught fire, blogger Evgenia Lavrinenko.

"They announced the landing, the plane landed too sharply. There was a sharp knock. Silence, no lights came on. Children screamed. Everyone hit: who hit their heads, who hit what. Silence - and only the captain calls the whole team to himself," Lavrynenko said.

She specified that there was panic and crush inside the airplane during evacuation. There was a lot of smoke and a very strong smell of burning plastic. Children should have been released first, but it did not happen. Lavrinenko said that there was nothing to breathe in the plane, because the whole cabin was covered with smoke, passengers tried to cover their noses and mouths with cloths.

Lavrinenko added that the fire departments arrived at the scene quickly enough.

The fire of the airplane of the airline Azimut during landing in Antalya became known on November 24. Portal AirportHaber specified that because of the incident the airport runway was temporarily closed. According to preliminary information, there were no casualties as a result of the incident, the cause of the fire is being investigated. Later, the deputy airport manager Suat Seyitoglu specified that the fire, which occurred in the airplane during landing at Antalya airport, was extinguished.

At the same time, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova told Izvestia that Russian diplomats had rushed to the scene of the accident with the Russian airplane in Antalya.

Natalia, a passenger of the plane that caught fire, said that fuel began to leak after a sharp impact on landing, and then the engine caught fire. According to her, the crew of the plane tried to calm down the passengers, who helped each other and got out of the inflamed aircraft by going down an inflatable ramp.
