American television host Chuck Woolery has died.

The host of the American show Wheel of Fortune Chuck Woolery died at his home in Texas at the age of 83. This was reported on November 24 by Bloomberg agency with reference to Woolery's co-host Mark Young.

"Chuck was a close friend, brother and an amazing man of faith, life will not be the same without him," Young noted.

Woolery made his debut as host of the American show Wheel of Fortune in 1975. The Russian "Field of Miracles" was based on this program. He hosted other famous shows such as Love Connection, Lingo, Greed.

Woolery was nominated for an Emmy Award in 1978. And in 2007, the host was inducted into the American Game Show Hall of Fame.
