Air defense forces destroyed two Ukrainian UAVs over the Belgorod region

Air defense forces have destroyed two unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) over the territory of Belgorod Region. This was reported by the Russian Defense Ministry on November 24.

"At about 21:50 Moscow time, an attempt by the Kiev regime to carry out a terrorist attack with the use of aircraft-type UAVs on objects on the territory of the Russian Federation was foiled. Two Ukrainian drones were destroyed over the territory of the Belgorod region by the on-duty air defense means", - stated in the Telegram-channel of the Ministry.

Earlier in the day, the governor of the Belgorod region Vyacheslav Gladkov reported the elimination of several UAVs over the territory of the region. As a result of falling debris was broken through the roof of the veranda of a private house in Belgorod, as well as damaged the roof of a building in the settlement of Severny. According to preliminary information, there were no casualties.

Also on this day, the Russian Defense Ministry reported the elimination of two UAVs over the Belgorod region. In total overnight, air defense forces destroyed and intercepted 34 Ukrainian drones over Russian territory.

The AFU is trying to strike Russian territories against the background of the special operation in Donbass, the start of which was announced on February 24, 2022. The decision was taken due to the aggravation of the situation in the region due to shelling by the Ukrainian military.
