Protesters set up tents near Georgian parliament

According to media reports, before that there was a verbal clash between the protesters and the police because the demonstrators in a car were not allowed to pass.
On November 16, the head of Georgia's Central Election Commission Giorgi Kalandarishvili signed the final protocol of the parliamentary elections. According to the final results, the ruling Georgian Dream party won with 53.93% of the vote and won 89 mandates out of 150 in parliament. More than 2.1 million people out of 3.5 million citizens with the right to vote participated in the voting. About 34.9 thousand ballots were recognized as invalid.
On the same day, the Georgian president did not recognize the election results and called for a new vote. According to her, the country is on the path of destabilization and dual power. She called on the citizens of the state to continue protests against the results of the parliamentary elections.
Later, on November 19, the country's Interior Ministry reported that demonstrations had been held in the area of Chavchavadze Avenue and Varaziskhevi during the previous two days, in which the roadway was completely occupied and artificial structures were erected. It is specified that a special squad of the department used water cannons to disperse citizens. And in order to remove the barricades of vans, tow trucks were used.
