Medvedev mocked Podolyak's words about denying the existence of "Oreshnik"

On November 24, Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council Dmitry Medvedev ironically commented on the words of the head of the Ukrainian president's office, Mykhaylo Podolyak, that the Oreshnik missile allegedly "does not really exist".
"Their curious, enterprising ABM regarding the BGRSD (ballistic hypersonic medium-range missile. - Ed.) "Oreshnik" was publicized by the Khokhlyatsk propagandists: "There is no "Oreshnik" at all." That's right, we should be simpler! And for defense it is enough just to clam up. For those who clam up, the problem disappears automatically," Medvedev wrote in his Telegram channel.
Podolyak's words were also commented on the day before by Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova. She advised Kiev to make sure that the Yuzhmash plant exists before claiming the non-existence of the Oreshnik missile. Zakharova recalled that a day earlier, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, whose term of office expired on 20 May, admitted the presence of the missile in service with Russian troops. The diplomat pointed out that in Kiev for many years denied the existence of the Crimean bridge, and then talked about the need to destroy it.
Russian President Vladimir Putin said on November 21 that Ukraine had used Western long-range weapons against the Russian state, causing the regional conflict to acquire elements of a global one. He also said that a test of the Oreshnik ballistic missile had taken place under combat conditions.
The strike was made on the plant "Yuzhmash" in Dnepropetrovsk. Denis Pushilin, head of the Donetsk People's Republic, called the launch a fair response to Kiev's aggression against peaceful Russian cities.
The special operation to protect Donbass, which began on February 24, 2022, is ongoing. The decision was taken against the backdrop of the worsening situation in the region.
