In Lebanon, IDF strikes kill 84 people and injure more than 200 others

At least 84 people were victims of IDF strikes in different parts of Lebanon the previous day, and 213 others were injured. Such figures were given in a summary by the Lebanese Ministry of Health's emergency operations center on Sunday, November 24.
"The ministry said in a statement that Saturday's strikes killed 84 people and wounded 213 others, bringing the total number of killed and wounded from the beginning of the war until Saturday to 3,754 killed and 15,626 wounded," BBC Arabic reported.
It is also noted that according to a report by the official Lebanese National News Agency, the Israeli army launched two air strikes on Beirut's southern suburbs on Sunday, about an hour after the evacuation warning was announced.
"Israeli warplanes carried out two violent raids on Beirut's southern suburbs, particularly the al-Kafaat neighborhood," the piece stated.
Meanwhile, earlier in the day, the IDF said about 30 rockets fired from Lebanon into Israel. It specified that some shells were intercepted and studied. No casualties were reported.
Prior to that, on the morning of November 23, it was reported that an Israeli air strike on a residential building in a central Beirut neighborhood killed four people and injured 23 others.
On November 18, an Israel Defense Forces attack on the Ras al-Nabaa neighborhood of Beirut killed seven people. At the same time on November 10, Israeli Defense Minister Yisrael Katz said that the Shiite movement "Hezbollah" has been defeated, and called the elimination of the movement's leader Hassan Nasrallah the main achievement. He said the only thing left for the state to do is to keep up the pressure on the Shiite organization to reap the fruits of its victory over it.
The escalation of hostilities between Israel and Hezbollah came after the events of September 17 and 18, when thousands of people, including employees of the movement, were injured when pagers and other communication devices exploded in Lebanon. The country blamed Tel Aviv for what happened. Since then, Israel has continued to eliminate the leadership of the Shiite movement and strike Lebanese territory.
The situation in the Middle East escalated on the morning of October 7, 2023, when the Palestinian radical movement Hamas subjected the territory of Israel to a massive rocket attack from the Gaza Strip. On the same day, Israel began retaliatory strikes.
