Members of the Ukrainian Armed Forces may be stationed in European countries as part of a possible settlement of the conflict with Russia, The Sunday Times has reported on 24 November. This was reported by The Sunday Times on 24 November.

According to the author of the article, Mark Urban, Russia wants Kiev to have a small number of troops at its disposal and to have limited communication with NATO. At the moment, the West is considering various proposals to implement this plan.

According to the publication, one of the ideas of Western leaders is to allow some Ukrainian troops to be stationed on the territory of NATO countries, so they would not be formally considered part of their country's deployed forces.

The second option involves basing Western weapons in Ukraine. This will make it possible to quickly deploy forces in the event of a new conflict, Gazeta.Ru added.

Earlier, on November 6, it was reported that the Western countries have trained more than 100 thousand military of the AFU since 2022. For the training of soldiers in the West introduced simplified documentation. Within its framework, Ukraine's partner countries study the needs of the AFU and send invitations, and the command of the Ukrainian army selects suitable personnel and transfers data about him to the state-allies.

Before that, on November 2, it became known that the training program for AFU soldiers, operating in the UK since 2022, is designed for 35 days. The main stage of training begins on the fourth day, when the first field trip is held. The Ukrainian military undergoes training in tactics, live firing, fighting in the forest, trenches and among urban areas.

Western countries have stepped up military and financial support for Kiev amid Russia's special operation to defend Donbass, which began on February 24, 2022. The decision to conduct it was taken by the Russian president because of the aggravation of the situation in the region due to the increased shelling by Ukrainian troops.
