British mercenary of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) Jimmy Ray, who was captured by the Russian military, spoke on Sunday, November 24, about being forcibly sent to Kursk Region. The video of the military man is at the disposal of Izvestia.

"The command took my things and ordered me to come here, took my passport, my phone and sent me here. I didn't want that," he stated.

The man said he had previously served in the army in the UK, where he was a communications officer. There he underwent military training, then joined the AFU. Before the invasion of Ukrainian militants in the Kursk region, as the mercenary said, he helped at the training ground located near Krivoy Rog. There, the Briton trained recruits in shooting, patrolling and evacuation.

The mercenary also drew attention to the fact that dozens of prisoners were sent to the ranks of the AFU every three weeks.

"30 people every three weeks," the captive specified.

The fact that an AFU mercenary from the UK was captured by the Russian military on the Kursk direction became known earlier in the day.

Ukrainian militants attacked Russian positions in the border areas of the Kursk region on August 6. The situation in the region was recognized as a state of emergency of federal character. The operation to destroy the AFU continues.

The special operation to protect Donbass, the start of which was announced by Russian President Vladimir Putin on February 24, 2022, continues. The decision was taken against the background of the aggravated situation in the region.
