American billionaire Ilon Musk called on November 24 to colonize Mars instead of launching World War III.

On his page in the social network X (former Twitter) he published two photos showing people's heads and bullets flying into them. So, in the first image, the bullet hits the brain, which symbolizes death. Under the photo is written: "World War III".

In the second case, the bullet passes by the skull, next to the image is placed the inscription "Colonization of Mars". Thus Musk made a reference to the assassination attempt on US President-elect Donald Trump. At that moment, the bullet passed in a few centimeters from his head, he was not injured as a result of the incident.

The entrepreneur has repeatedly expressed that humanity will be able to survive only if it starts to explore other planets. It can be assumed that by publishing such a post, the billionaire hints that the election of Trump will save the world from global conflict and open opportunities for the conquest of space.

Earlier, on September 8, Musk said that the first unmanned flights of the Starship spacecraft to Mars are planned in two years. He specified, if these landings are successful, the first manned flights will start in four years. Also, the frequency of flights to Mars will begin to grow exponentially, as the plan is to build a "self-sustaining" city on the planet in the next 20 years, said the billionaire.

Earlier, on July 21, the founder of SpaceX, American entrepreneur Ilon Musk made a proposal to create a base with a permanent settlement on the Moon.

In May, Musk said that it would take about a million years to colonize the galaxy. He also said that no signs of alien life had been found and found it amusing that many who do not believe that man has been to the moon are convinced that aliens exist. However, he said that mankind could find "remnants of a long-gone alien civilization" while exploring space.
