Soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) have plundered the homes of residents of the village of Nikipelovka in Kursk Region, taking away TV sets and refrigerators. This was reported on November 24 by a local resident evacuated from the region.

She specified that she was evacuated on August 9 to Nizhny Novgorod region. According to the woman, it was unbearable to live in the village because of heavy shelling.

"Villages have been smashed. There is nothing there. <...> Everything was taken away, the windows were broken, all the things were taken away <...>. No TV sets, no refrigerators, everything is scattered and scattered," a local resident said, noting that when residents moved out of their homes, they threw "everything they had accumulated for centuries" there.

She also called the actions of the AFU lawlessness, noting that the Ukrainian fighters acted like vandals. At the same time, the woman noted that living conditions in Nizhny Novgorod were good.

"In Nizhny Novgorod we feel very good. They feed us well here too. Thank you, we are very grateful. [Here] it's warm, good, cozy, but my soul still longs to go home," the woman added, answering the question about how the evacuated Kurians were met in the region.

Earlier, on November 6, Ivan and Svetlana Savchenko, refugees from the town of Sudja, Kursk region, told Izvestia how they evacuated from the town during the aggression of Ukrainian militants. They have now been living in one of the temporary accommodation centers (TACs) in Kursk for three months. According to Svetlana, after expelling the militants, the couple would like to return to their native land, as the city is their whole life.

Ukrainian militants attacked Russian positions in the border areas of Kursk Region on August 6. The situation in the region was recognized as a state of emergency of federal character. The operation to destroy the AFU continues.

The special operation to protect Donbass, the start of which was announced by Russian President Vladimir Putin on February 24, 2022, continues. The decision was taken against the background of the aggravated situation in the region.
