Case opened after man killed in shooting in Saratov region

Investigators have opened a criminal case over the murder of a man and attempted murder of two other local residents during a road conflict in Marx. This was reported on November 24 by the investigative Department (SU) of the Investigative Committee (IC) of the Russian Federation in the Saratov region.

"Marks inter-district investigative Department initiated criminal proceedings on the fact of the death of a man and attempted murder of two men in the city of Marks (part 3 of article 30, paragraph "a" part 2 of article 105, part 1 of article 105 of the Criminal code of the Russian Federation)", - stated in the message published in the Telegram-channel of the Department.

As preliminarily established, on November 24 on Pobeda Street between the drivers there was a traffic conflict, during which one of the men used a firearm. One of the victims died on the spot, the second was hospitalized, he is receiving medical care. After the crime, the defendant fled.

Investigators together with police officers are conducting operational-search activities to establish all the circumstances of the incident and are looking for a suspect.

About the shooting in Marx, Saratov region became known earlier in the day. At that time, a source of Izvestiya said that the city announced a plan "Siren" to catch the culprit.
