Russia's army has hit military airfields and drone depots in Ukraine


The Russian Armed Forces (AF) have hit military airfields and drone depots in Ukraine with various types of weapons. This was reported by the Russian Defense Ministry on November 24.
"Operational-tactical aviation, strike drones, missile troops and artillery of groups of troops of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation hit the infrastructure of military airfields, production workshops and storage sites of drones, as well as accumulations of enemy manpower and military equipment in 141 areas," the ministry said in a statement.
In addition, during the day air defense means (air defense) shot down 44 drones in the special operation zone.
Units of the "Southern" grouping of troops hit the living forces and equipment of six brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in the areas of the settlements of Dachne, Chasov Yar, Aleksandro-Shultino, Sukhiye Yaly and Kurakhovo in the Donetsk People's Republic (DNR). In the area of responsibility of this grouping, the Ukrainian army lost up to 500 military personnel, three vehicles, a 152 mm caliber Msta-B howitzer and a 105 mm caliber British L-119 gun.
Earlier in the day, the Russian Defense Ministry showed the work of the Orlan-10 multifunctional unmanned aerial vehicle of the Novorossiysk paratroopers, which found an accumulation of AFU personnel and equipment in the Zaporizhzhya region and corrected the strike of the Airborne Troops' artillery. The head of the calculation with the call sign Kodex said that the "bird" is constantly in the sky and tracks the movement of the enemy.
On the same day, the head of the press center of the grouping of troops "West" Ivan Bigma said that the Russian military over the past day destroyed 40 militants of the AFU and captured one. In addition, the group's air defense units destroyed 11 enemy drones.
The special operation to protect Donbass, the beginning of which was announced by Russian President Vladimir Putin on February 24, 2022, continues. The decision was made against the backdrop of the worsening situation in the region.
